Take a few more seconds to think before you act. It may seem like a small thing, but it can have an enormous impact on your life. The next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with worry or frustration, stop for just five minutes and do something that brings you joy.

It could be as simple as making some tea, taking a walk, listening to your favorite music, or playing with a pet. What’s something you enjoy for no reason at all?

Remember, the goal is not to escape your problems but rather to shift your focus and give yourself a much-needed break from the negative thoughts that can so easily take over.
